so where have I been ???

so .. yes, where on earth has sharon been up to ? Well I took a break from creating and basically chilled !!! .. and went for a rather hush hush relaxing trip to visit friends in the nearby sultanate of Brunei .. I am sorry that some of you did not know but this was a "friends and family" trip .. :) .. managed to sneak into Miri too .. just got back .. tired as ever .. but the trip was soooooo inspiring ... Lots of catch up time and also ... loads of eating .. seriously and .... D... I never got to eat the cakes at jubilee ?? bwahahah nEXt Time YAH ???

Another project for MWL ... cannot stop using the 7 Gypsies Lille Collection .... love how versatile the collection is .. and totally on canvas .. Painted the Canvas red and distressed it abit with black paint. Mounted the Canvas on thick chipboard painted black and rock candy crackle paint !!!

The Vagabond has finally arrived in the shores of sunny Singapore ... I am salivating as i type ... I have never ever drooled so much over a machine before .. but yes it is a super duper duper super cool machine ... Get yours ... here

Laugh!!!

Ok .. so I was in the city of Kuching the last 4 days .... nothing work related or scrapbook related but .. just a trip to chill out with friends .. doing nothing but eat ... laugh and play .. sounds like the perfect recipe to .... rejuvenate the soul .. and indeed it had ... like how I told my friend... it has actually been a very long time since I could laugh from the heart .. u know the kind where u laugh because u are really really happy and relaxed and without a care in the world ... like a child .. and not be worried about how people are gonna look at you ... totally good for the jaded soul !! it was so good that we all agreed that periodic trips like that will renew the soul and have agreed to plan for more short trips with the gang!!! Totally looking forward to them !!! it is also good to know that you have friends that will tell you .... "the next time you come .. just call from the airport and I will be there to pick u up ... faster than teksi ... " ... yes Mr F1 Racer !!!! just tell us when .. and we will be booking the tickets !!!.. so where shall my next destination be ??? another place in borneo perhaps ??? or Kuala Lumpur ???? hehehehe

and off again !!!!

Yeap ... I am off to the neighbouring city of Kuching in East Malaysia ...

and YES FINALLY it is ... for a real holiday ... all i wanna do is to rest, relax, makan and take heaps of photos .. i have a list of MUST eats ... and must visit and MUST BUY !!! .. anybody in Kuching that wanna meet up ???

Will be there till tuesday!!!! wooohoooo .. finally a rest .. a holiday ... a trip that does not involve ... WORK !!! (actually i packed "work" ... project for April class .. ehehhehe )

I have given up on apologizing for my absence... time seems to just fly by so quickly that I usually do not know what day I am in... Leaving for Kuching tmr for a weekend getaway ... cannot wait to spend time with friends and take photos and hopefully go thrift store hunting or find really vintage stuff ... *keeping me fingers crossed*

Have a project to show this time .. ekekek yes yes .. I have been creating like mad but usually i cannot show the project till I get the OK .. so this one is for me ...
Used Tim Holtz Configurations Boxes again .. quite fun to fill each box with quirky stuff ... love the scrabble tile., the wooden alpha cube .. the tiny alarm clock... the lock ... the domino tiles.. the little glass bottles... everything !!!!!

MWL DT Layout - 7 Gypsies Lille

This week, we were asked to use paints and distress inks in our layouts and I used white paint to distress the papers to give it a washed out look. Distressing the edges of the papers using walnut stain distress ink, I also added some texture to the layout by rubbing distress stickles ard the layout giving it "rough'ed" up look .. This layout was a dare from a friend who dare'ed me to create a layout by using only papers, alphas and one embellishment and not adding so much stuff to it and making the layout expensive. I used 3 patterned papers, mediums and 1 metal embellishment.

Mediums used - Blank Canvas Paint (Claudine Hellmuth, Ranger Industries), Walnut Stain Distress Ink ( Ranger Industries), Vintage Photo Distress Stickles ( Ranger Industries), Glossy Accents (ranger Industries)

Back From CHA

Yes I am back from CHA !!!! . and finally ... A PHOTO with the Lord of the Inks .. TIM HOLTZ ... its 4 am here .. and i am off to bed .. a busy day tomorrow ... Lots of CNY visiting to do ...

Almost the end of January ???

So fast .... thats what time is doing to me ... flying by so fast that I have no idea where it went.... Been bz bz bz with lots of new changes that is happening and hopefully everything works out well.

In another 2 days I will be on board a plane headed for Los Angeles, California in the UNITED STATES ... wooohooo .. and yes I will be there for CHA again !!! this is my 4th year there... can you believe it ??? cause I cannot ...

Nothing much to update about... will try to bring you all news about CHA if possible.
